The GMU-RAK Campus is seeking applications and nominations for the following positions:
Position: Assistant/ Associate Professor for Electronics and Communications Engineering

Teaching interests in all areas of electronics and communications engineering will be considered. Preferences will be given to applicants with teaching experience in analog and digital electronics, digital systems and communication systems.
Position: Assistant/Associate Professor for Mathematics

Teach undergraduate mathematics, calculus, and statistics courses.
Position: Assistant/Associate Professor for Geography

Teach geography courses and have competencies in emerging geographical technologies. Preference to individuals with GIS background and experience.
Position: Assistant/ Associate Professor for Accounting

Teach courses in general accounting, cost and financial accounting, accounting information systems and other business courses.
Position: Assistant/ Associate Professor for Management

Teach management, organizational behavior, entrepreneurial studies, leadership and statistics.
Position: Assistant/ Associate Professor for Communication

Teach basic communication courses, including Introduction to Communication Research, Foundations of Public Communication and Foundations of Intercultural Communication, and possess expertise in either journalism or public relations. Preference will be given to candidates that can provide leadership for the development of a Communications program.
Qualifications
All positions must meet the following qualifications along with any specific qualifications noted for each position: excellent English skills, verbal and written; a commitment to contribute to building a new American higher education institution in Ras Al Khaimah, and an ability to interact collegially with the Campus community.
Applicants are expected to evidence appropriate academic credentials (earned doctorate or terminal degree from an American accredited institution OR attested equivalent), which must be produced prior to appointment. For the appointment at the Associate Professor level, individual must demonstrate teaching effectiveness, at least 7 to 10 years of teaching experience and research output.

Qualifications
Successful candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Possess excellent English skills, verbal, and written
- Be able to accommodate the assigned teaching schedule
- Adhere to campus academic requirements, including student grading policies
- Possess ability to communicate and to interact collegially with a diverse campus community
- Apply technology and technology based applications to courses, as appropriate
- Interact collegially with the Campus community.

Orientation for new faculty is on January 13th and classes begin on January 20th.
